Biography

Chris Cookson graduated from the University of Waterloo with his Bachelor of Science degree in Honours Physics with an Astrophysics specialization. He is currently a part-time graduate student working on obtaining spatially resolved Mueller matrices of the optic nerve head and surrounding tissue. From this, polarization properties of the eye can be determined which can be used to enhanced resolution and contrast of different features in the images. This has many clinical applications. Chris works full-time for Melanie Campbell as the in house computer programmer, hardware technician and is responsible for the maintenance of the campbell labs website. He also works on optical design and alignment of systems within the lab.
